As CEO of Havas Media Group UK & Ireland, Paul is a true social leader. He oversees the three media agencies within Havas Media Group: Havas Media, Arena Media and Forward Media; as well as Havas Sports & Entertainment Cake and Field Day London. He is also responsible for senior client relationships and growth, driving the Havas data and content vision through Havas Media Group specialist investment and digital resources.
A respected authority on industry trends, Paul is a regular commentator for Campaign, which has enabled him to voice his perspective to current and future clients and, vitally, to engage with talent – something that he believes to be important in an era where authenticity is critical.
Paul has worked at Havas for 18 years on numerous accounts including BBC, Nationwide, AXA, Emirates, National Express, EDF Energy, Hyundai KIA, PayPal, Birds Eye and Pernod Ricard UK. He sits on the Havas UK Leadership team as well as the IPA Council and is a mentor for The Marketing Academy.
Julia joined Havas Media Group in 2015 as Managing Director responsible for investment and solutions, bringing with her 30 years’ experience.
Julia is responsible for leading a strong and united department of specialist teams, working closely with Havas Media Group as a whole to deliver industry-leading standards of excellence and innovation that drive value.
During her previous seven years as a key player on the executive team at UKTV, Julia was responsible for leading a number of teams, including technology and innovation, broadcast operations, digital operations, compliance and regulatory affairs, ad-funded content and advertising sales. She also established and led the UKTV CSR agenda.
Darren joined Havas Media Group as the UK Chief Financial Officer in November 2015. Darren is responsible for leading the financial management and the financial strategy of the UK Group and is responsible for the finance, commercial and IT functions of the group. Darren joined Havas from MediaCom part of WPP plc where he was UK Chief Financial Officer for nearly 4 years. Prior to this Darren worked for National Geographic Channels International in a numbers of roles over a period of 11 years ultimately progressing to be their European Finance Director. Darren began his career at KMPG and is an ACA qualified accountant.
In 2015, Cake merged with Havas Sport and Entertainment to form Havas SE Cake under the leadership of Adrian as Chief Executive Officer.
Adrian first joined Cake in 2002, heading up the development of brand-funded television and multi-platform content solutions, before relocating to launch Cake’s New York office in early 2009, where he oversaw work for the likes of Motorola, Havaianas, Volvo and LVMH. In 2013, he returned to the Havas UK senior management team in London, and became CEO of Cake Group in 2014.
Yvonne joined Havas Media Group in 2015 and oversees the research, insight and econometric teams, working closely with data and marketing tech consultancy DBi, and trends agency SCB Partners. Yvonne will also play an instrumental role in the evolution and direction of Havas Media Group’s annual Meaningful Brands research.
Yvonne began her career on the client side at Timex Watches. During her time at IPG Mediabrands, Yvonne established its Marketing Sciences division which comprised insight, research and analytics for the holding group. Prior to this, Yvonne held the position of Managing Partner at UM London. Working on ensuring key insights were integrated into strategy and planning on high profile accounts such as Microsoft, MasterCard, Burtons Foods and Tiffany.
Darren joined Havas Media Group as Chief Talent Officer in February 2016 and is responsible for the People and Talent strategy and initiatives across the UK Group. Darren joined from Saatchi & Saatchi and has over 20 years executive HR and Talent experience across a number of sectors including Media, Marketing, Technology, Television, Radio and Digital.
He has supported a number of high profile organisations to deliver a transformational people agenda winning a number of awards and industry recognition. Darren is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Sharon is Chief Marketing Officer of Havas Media Group UK, where she is focused on driving growth across the media and creative businesses, building the #havastogether proposition and ensuring that Havas continues to challenge and pioneer in new areas of marketing services ahead of the Havas Village in 2017.
She brings a wealth of experience, having held new business and marketing roles across media, creative, digital and direct agencies including M&C Saatchi, OMD, Leo Burnett, Dentsu, Creston Group and Heresy following her time client side at United Distillers.
Ed is the UK Managing Director of Forward Media, the newest agency within the Havas Media Group stable. Forward launched in late 2014 off the back of the agency’s landmark Telefonica account win, and has a presence in 20 markets across Europe and Latin America.
Forward embodies the group’s vision of a new, integrated agency model, and Ed leads a team of comms planners, data specialists, content strategists and media buyers to deliver an end-to-end marketing service for clients.
Ed has been with Havas Media Group for seven years, and originally joined digital specialist agency Quantum before becoming head of digital at Arena Media. Before taking on his latest role at Forward, he was managing partner at Arena Media, looking after accounts such as LG, Tesco Bank, Three, Next, and American Express.
Tammy Smulders is Global Managing Director of Havas LuxHub, Havas Group’s global fashion and luxury business, launched in 2014. She also heads Havas’ innovation practice, 18.
Tammy leads an international team, and additionally works directly with key fashion and luxury clients on company vision, integrated marketing strategy, media planning and implementation, including brand strategy, creative development, generating and integrating customer insights. Her clients include Hermes, De Beers, Christie’s, Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, Escada, Whistles, Shangri-La Hotels and Starwood Hotels.
Tammy was named to Luxury Daily’s 25 Luxury Women to Watch 2016.
Considered a leading arbiter of influencer and trend marketing, Tammy was also Founder of SCB Partners, the leading trend-based marketing insights consultancy, acquired by Havas in 2013. Before starting SCB Partners in 2002, Tammy was the co-founder and former CEO of Trust the DJ, and electronic music management company and record label.
David joined Havas Media from international outdoor specialist, PSI, in 2008 and has over 25 years of industry experience. In his role as Managing Director of Havas Media International (HMI), he is responsible for client service and leadership across all global clients including Credit Suisse, Clarks, Net-A-Porter, Sotheby’s, Smythson, Source, Mr Porter, THE OUTNET and Brother.
David runs a team of digital first specialists who are experts in the planning and execution of international strategy and best practice buying across the globe.
Graham Taylor, Chief Executive Officer, Havas Media Ireland
Graham founded GT Media in 1983 and was responsible for developing the company into one of Ireland’s leading independent media agencies.
In 2014, GT Media joined forces with Havas Media Group to form Havas Media Ireland. Havas Media Ireland is already being recognised as the most dynamic media agency in the marketplace, with over 20 new account wins and a billings increase of 40% in 2015.
Graham is acknowledged as one of Ireland’s foremost media practitioners and is highly respected for his industry insight and thought leadership. As well as being a board member of IAPI for the past seven years, he was also Chairman of the Finance Committee.
As Group Creative Director, Nick is responsible for driving creativity and collaboration across the entire group. His immediate focus is on the implementation and construction of an entirely new and creatively-driven team. Nick has been instrumental in creating integrated solutions for new and existing clients and is active in key global and local pitches for the entire group.
Nick works across key accounts such as O2, Barclays, Nationwide, Pernod Ricard, Nandos and plays a key role in new business pitches.
Prior to Havas Media Group, Nick spent seven years as Partner at Creative Communications agency, Amplify. He played a key role in growing the agency to a team of 50 and securing wins with PlayStation, San Miguel, Heineken, Converse & Red Bull.
